Glenview Glass & Screen Inc. is a trusted, family-owned glazing company proudly serving San Diego County since 1990. Founded by Donald R. Hall in the Glenview area of El Cajon, our company continues a long tradition of craftsmanship, service, and community rooted in the Hall family name.

The Hall family’s history in El Cajon spans five generations, beginning in 1897 when Wilson D. Hall and his wife, Florence (the niece of President Ulysses S. Grant), opened W.D. Hall Co.—the city’s first lumber yard and firehouse—alongside their sons, Rex and Julian. Their grandson, Herb Hall, later continued the family’s entrepreneurial legacy by establishing Inland Supply Co., a successful hardware store that served the community for more than 20 years.

When Inland Supply Co. closed in 1990, Donald R. Hall carried the family tradition forward by founding Glenview Glass & Screen. Today, more than 30 years later, the business is led by the Hall family.

Beyond glass and screens, the Hall family remains deeply connected to the local community. Rick Hall serves as President of the El Cajon Historical Society and caretaker of the historic Knox House, helping preserve local history for future generations.
